Bounthanh’s journey began in 1980 when the Chiu family moved from Laos to Nappanee, Indiana, bringing their love of authentic flavors and traditional cooking methods. What started as a small weekend operation—selling homemade egg rolls from a fryer and card table—quickly grew into a beloved local brand. Within two years, Bounthanh’s was supplying local stores, and demand eventually expanded to regional grocery chains and food concessions.

We fry our rice and ingredients in woks just as we’ve done for years, ensuring bold, authentic flavors in every bite. Our egg rolls are hand-rolled with only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, and our cabbage is shredded in-house from whole heads to guarantee maximum freshness.
