Bounthanh’s journey began in 1980 when the Chiu family moved from Laos to Nappanee, Indiana, bringing their love of authentic flavors and traditional cooking methods. What started as a small weekend operation—selling homemade egg rolls from a fryer and card table—quickly grew into a beloved local brand. Within two years, Bounthanh’s was supplying local stores, and demand eventually expanded to regional grocery chains and food concessions.
